Room 110: Wheat Breeding Programs
This room is used for a long term wheat breeding program, but if there is empty bench space we will consider renting it out to research related to wheat and other cereals.
110 is equipped with:
- Two (2) 3.5’ X 35’ fixed benches which is 122.4 ft2 each
- 16H day / 8H night photoperiod
- Avg day temp / Avg night temp
- Rental rate = $0.32/sqft per month
Room 110A: Wheat and Cereal Grains Greenhouse
Priority of this room is given to research related to wheat and cereal grains. Temperatures, humidity and the IPM program are tailored for these types of crops although space may be assigned as needed to other types of plants of interest.
110A is equipped with:
- Nine (9) 6’ X 35’ rolling benches, which are 210 ft2 each
- One (1) 3.5’ X 35’ fixed bench which is 122.4 ft2 each
- 16H day / 8H night photoperiod
- Avg day temp / Avg night temp
- Rental rate = $0.32/sqft per month
Room 108: HID Bay (Warm)
108 is equipped with:
- Eight (8) 6’ X 35’ rolling benches, 210 ft2 each
- Two (2) 4’ X 35’ floor plots, 140 ft2 each
- 430 watt HID lights to supply ½ the amount of natural sunlight
- 16H day / 8H night photoperiod
- Avg day temp / Avg night temp
- Rental rate = $0.37/sqft per month
Room 108A: HID Bay (Cool)
108A is equipped with:
- Seven (7) 6’ X 35’ rolling benches, 210 ft2 each
- Two (2) 6’ X 35’ floor plots, 210 ft2 each
- 430 watt HID lights to supply ½ the amount of natural sunlight
- 16H day / 8H night photoperiod
- Avg day temp / Avg night temp
- Rental rate = $0.37/sqft per month
Room 104: Bean Breeding and Bean Pathology
This room is assigned to the Bean Breeding and Pathology programs and is not available for general rental.
Room 104A: High Humidity
Part of this room is used by PGF to grow horticultural material, and there are 5 benches available to rent.
